The thing to focus on are the points raised and questions asked in the letter to the PM, as that is what this group of different persuasions all agree on. Individual opinions are not what was remarkable, it was the cross party unity regarding the official points. The DVLA are in fact teaching Parliament a lesson on working together despite political differences. It’s not always easy, impossible for some, but it’s what’s needed most.

You see that is the thing if you say the wrong thing and she said several, people will not take the DFLA seriously, yes the working class must have a voice but it has to have some reason and rhyme to it otherwise the message will be lost, if a speech is made and within that speech you are saying fuck everyone who does not agree with me or you create a crazy barrier then it becomes a rather moot argument.

As far as I know, only Tracy Blackwell said that, and though I don’t agree with her, I wouldn’t have started a left v right debate at that moment. We have no idea how many there disagreed but kept the mouths shut, not wanting to start a pointless political bickering war with a mother who lost her boys. There would certainly have been a sizable minority at least.
